Make a Financial Contribution

Preserving our heritage is our mission. Our resources connect people of all ages to an earlier life and time in Decatur County. We are a non-profit organization that relies on the generosity of interested persons, membership dues, and sales of publications to survive and develop. If you can, please consider us when you decide to donate money to a worthy cause. We are happy to work with you if you prefer to designate your gift to a particular historical society project or program. Memorial and Honorary Gifts

Gifts can be made to the Decatur County Historical Society in honor or in memory of someone you care about. The gift could celebrate an individual's birthday, anniversary, or special occasion in their life. Gifts can be used to honor a milestone for a local business or civic leader. Express sympathy or honor the memory of a loved one. It is a thoughtful way to recognize an individual's life and accomplishments. When you make a gift, an acknowledgement is sent to the individual(s) being honored or to the family of the deceased without indicating the amount.  Send your memorial and honorary gifts to Decatur County Historical Society,  P.O. Donate to Our Collections

DCHS actively seeks materials about the county and welcomes donations of appropriate materials pertaining to Decatur County. You too can be an important part of Decatur County's story by considering the historical society as a place to donate objects, manuscripts and photographs that tell something about your family, friends, local businesses or organizations.  If you would like to entrust DCHS with an item, please contact us with an e-mail to dctnhistsoc@hotmail.com.  With your help, we will archive and preserve its history for all of Decatur County.
